Västergötland, Dostyk through with minimum fuss

Västergötland and Dostyk both recorded wins on Sunday to book their places in the UEFA Regions' Cup intermediate round.

The momentum had been with North Wales in Group A as they dispatched Northern Estonia 3-1 on an opening day when Västergötland and Dostyk played out a 2-2 draw. The Swedish side made a statement of intent 48 hours later by sending eight goals past Northern Estonia without reply, Oskar Andersson weighing in with a hat-trick. As for Dostyk, they edged Northern Wales 1-0 courtesy of Vadim Borovski's 59th-minute effort.

Västergötland ensured a smooth passage to the intermediate round by beating North Wales 2-1, second-half strikes from Iba Ramic and Mohamed Abdu proving the difference. Dostyk followed suit, Askar Abutov's treble helping them to a 4-0 defeat of the hosts.
