🛬 Charter Flights and Coaches
Charter Flights to Istanbul
If you're travelling as part of an organised group on a charter flight from England, you'll touch down at Istanbul Airport (IST) at Pier B. Follow the signage and look out for our friendly airport volunteers should you need any assistance.
💡 Charter flight tips
🎒 Travel light without check-in luggage. Keep in mind bags larger than A4 size won't be allowed inside the stadium.
🛫 Have your return boarding pass ready before you touch down in Istanbul. This will significantly speed up the departure process after the match.
↪️ Onward travel from the airport will be determined by the time you land. Matchday traffic is unpredictable and it will take longer than you expect.
➡️ If you arrive BEFORE 13:00 on matchday – onward travel will go to the transport hub in Yenikapi.
➡️ If you arrive AFTER 13:00 on matchday – onward travel will take you directly to your Fan Zone at the stadium.
Coaches
🏟️ Coaches to Atatürk Olympic Stadium for fans travelling on charter flights need to be booked in advance.
⚠️ Please check with your tour operator to ensure that your coach from the airport to the transport hub or to the stadium has been booked.
🚍 Your coach to the stadium will be waiting for you just outside of the terminal – please see the map above for details. After the match, all coaches will be in the coach parking area by the Fan Zone, so head straight there after the final whistle.
🏆 On matchday
⚠️ Travel tip
• Istanbul traffic can be heavy and unpredictable. You’re almost guaranteed to take significantly longer to travel across the city, so leave enough time in your planning!
• Do not travel by taxi.
🆓 Free matchday travel
All ticket holders can access shuttle buses and selected public transport services* for free on matchday when using the UCL Fan Pass on the Champions League app.
For detailed info how to travel for free, the services included and more, please check our general travel page.
*Please be aware that buses and Metro line 11 from/to IST Airport are NOT included in the free travel programme.
🚇 Public transport
We don’t recommend using public transport to get the stadium on matchday if you’re a Man City supporter, as you will arrive at the wrong side of Atatürk Olympic Stadium. The shuttle buses are a much more convenient option.
To use public transport for travel within the city, you can use the Metro Istanbul network map to plan your route from the airport. Be aware that you will have to make multiple changes to get to your desired location.
As a ticket holder, activate your UCL Fan Pass on the UEFA Champions League app to travel for free on metro* and tram services on matchday.
🚌 Shuttle buses
Dedicated shuttle buses will operate from both Istanbul (IST) and Sabiha Gökçen International (SAW) airports for ticket holders only. This is the most convenient option as you will be able to jump on a shuttle bus to the city centre or the stadium, depending on the time of your arrival.
• To board, you will need to show your UCL Fan Pass to the driver.
• Allow plenty of time when using these services and get to the stadium early to soak up the atmosphere in the Fan Zone.
• All shuttles are fully accessible.
🚏 Transport Hub
The Man City Transport Hub is conveniently located in Yenikapi, close to the UEFA Champions Festival. It's also just an easy 35-minute walk or a short metro ride from the popular area of Sultanahmet, in case you have time to explore the city before heading to the Fan Zone at the stadium.
📍 Yenikapi
🚌 The hub is served by:
• Shuttle bus stop for services from the airports (before 13:00)
• Shuttle bus stop for services to the Fan Zone at the stadium
The shuttle buses will begin leaving for the stadium at 13:00. Allow plenty of time when using these services and get to the stadium early to soak up the atmosphere in the Man City Fan Zone (south of the stadium).
⚠️ Please note that no services or facilities will be provided at the transport hub.
Hop on the tram or metro to the Man City Transport Hub and catch the shuttle bus to the Fan Zone from here. The closest public transport stops to the Man City transport hub are:
🚇 Metro - stop Yenikapi, then 10-minute walk
🚋 Tram – stop Aksaray, then 25-minute walk
The Transport Hub in Beşiktaş is dedicated to Inter supporters. The Inter shuttles arrive at the opposite side of the stadium, and you would have to walk another 25 minutes to get to the Man City Fan Zone. We strongly recommend you take the metro to go to the Man City Transport Hub in Yenikapi.
🚇 Metro M2: Taksim → Yenikapi (10 minutes)
🚶Walk 10 minutes to the Man City Transport Hub
🎊 Fan Zone for ticket holders (from 14:00)
The celebrations will be in full swing on matchday at the Man City Fan Zone, 500m from the stadium, with live entertainment, food and drink kiosks and lots more. It’ll be the perfect gathering spot to meet fellow supporters and take in the atmosphere in the hours before the final and then make your way on foot to your seats (10 minutes).
Make your way here early so you can make the most of your experience and don’t have to worry about matchday traffic.

Football wouldn’t exist without supporters like you, and your love for football is what makes the atmosphere unlike anything else.

Stadium access and entry
You’ll only be able to access your seats through the gates indicated on your ticket. Have a look at the stadium map to locate your gates.
Stadium rules
Keep in mind that stadium rules may differ from what you are used to
🎒 Bag policy
You can only enter the stadium with bags no bigger than A4, so if you’re coming directly to the stadium, it’s best not to bring a bag at all if possible.
🚫 No coins please!
It’s important to check your pockets for coins of any currency, before heading to the match as they won’t be allowed into the stadium. But don’t worry, all concessions and Fan Shops in the stadium accept card payments.
🔋Power banks
You can bring a small power bank, no larger than your phone.
For more information, check out the stadium page.
⚽ After the final whistle
Head back towards the Fan Zone to access the shuttle buses and coaches heading to your desired location, either one of the airports or Yenikapi Metro Station!
If your charter flight is scheduled to depart right after the match, please confirm with your tour operator that a coach from the stadium to the airport has been booked for you. If this is the case, your coach will pick you up at P25, located by the Fan Zone.
With a 22:00 kick-off and the Trophy Ceremony after the match, you can expect the celebrations at the stadium to be over at around 00:20. If there's extra time or penalties, expect the action on the pitch to continue until 01:15. As you know football is unpredictable and things can always change. These times should be considered estimates!
Shuttle bus services will begin after the final whistle and be running at maximum occupancy to both airports and Yenikapi Metro Station.
