Manchester City FC and Sevilla FC will meet for the first time when the Liga club travel to Manchester on matchday three.

• City are looking to build on their 2-1 comeback win at VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach on matchday two, while Sevilla will arrive in Manchester looking to bounce back from a defeat at Juventus.

• For home winger Jesús Navas it should be a special occasion given his ten years in the Sevilla first team before joining City.

Match background

Manchester City
• City are seeking their first home points in this season's competition having lost 2-1 to Juventus in Manchester on matchday one.

• City have lost their last two home games against Spanish opponents – going down to FC Barcelona in each of the past two seasons as the Azulgrana eliminated them in the round of 16 each time.

• Their overall home record against Spanish clubs is W2 D2 L2.

• Sergio Agüero has scored in his last three home games for City against Liga visitors – as well as scoring against Barcelona in last season's 2-1 defeat, he had earlier struck in the 1-1 draw with Real Madrid CF (2012/13) and 2-1 success over Villarreal CF (2011/12).
