• Their most recent encounter with a Bundesliga club brought a UEFA Cup second-round defeat in 2002/03 against FC Schalke 04 (2-3 h, 0-0 a).

• Legia's two heaviest home losses in their European history were against German opponents: a 7-3 drubbing by FC Bayern München in the 1988/89 UEFA Cup first round, and a 4-0 reverse against TSV 1860 München in the 1964/65 European Cup Winners' Cup quarter-finals.
