FK Crvena Zvezda new boy Zoran Banovic will challenge Vladimir Disljenkovic for the goalkeeper's jersey.
The Serbia and Montenegro international joins from top-flight rivals FK Sutjeska, where he began his career in 1997. The 27-year-old was delighted with the move, saying: "I am very happy to have joined a great club. I know I will have to fight for my place in the starting lineup, as goalkeeper Vladimir Disljenkovic is currently first choice, but I believe in my abilities."
Banovic will have an early glimpse of European action when Crvena Zvezda play Swiss side BSC Young Boys in the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round this week.
