Big three eye berths in last 16

FC Bayern München, Arsenal FC and FC Barcelona can follow the lead set by Real Madrid CF and Olympique Lyonnais by booking their places in the UEFA Champions League knockout stages as Matchday 4 concludes tonight.

Juve eager
Bayern know that a second victory in a fortnight against Juventus in Turin could assure them of top spot in Group A, provided that SK Rapid Wien get their first point of the campaign at Club Brugge KV. But their Italian opponents will be eager to avenge a 2-1 defeat at the Fußball Arena München on Matchday 3.

Arsenal chance
In Group B, Arsenal will be guaranteed a top-two finish if they win their home game against AC Sparta Praha - and a draw will be enough if second-placed AFC Ajax record victory on their trip to FC Thun. However, with a UEFA Cup place up for grabs for the side which finishes third, the Swiss side will not concede easily.

Bremen favour
FC Barcelona would assure themselves of a place in the knockouot stages by winning their home tie against Panathinaikos FC, if the other Group C tie between Werder Bremen and Udinese Calcio ends in a draw.

Competitive group
However, there is no chance of an early conclusion in Group D, where all four sides still have a chance of qualifying. Manchester United FC will tighten their grip on top spot with a win against LOSC Lille Métropole at the Stade de France, while SL Benfica will look to hold off unbeaten draw specialists Villarreal CF.
