Shum cautious despite Beitar boost

Beitar Jerusalem FC coach Itzhak Shum was thrilled after his team's comeback to beat Wisla Kraków 2-1, but he is predicting the tie "will go down to the wire".

Tough return leg

Schum pedigree
Shum, who became the first Israeli coach to guide a club in the UEFA Champions League with Maccabi Haifa FC – before repeating the feat with Greek giants Panathinaikos FC – added: "Now they have to beat us and a draw will not be enough. But everything is open and this tie will go to the wire."

Goalkeeping error
Croatian goalkeeper Tvrtko Kale was relieved with the win but took responsibility for allowing the opener, a bizarre effort which looked almost identical to the goal he conceded against FC København at the same stage of the competition last year. "Its my fault and I apologise to the players and fans for a mistake which hopefully won't count," he said. "I'm glad my team-mates cheered me up at half-time and I'm glad Aviram Baruchyan rescued me with the goals he scored."
