Fresh injury
The 20-year-old England winger, only just recovered from a back injury, made his first Arsenal start of the season on Saturday against Birmingham City FC but was forced off just 33 minutes in. He now faces as much as a month on the sidelines, meaning he will be unable to play in Tuesday's Group H fixture in Alkmaar or the home return on 4 November. Midfielder Tomáš Rosický has also been ruled out of the away fixture at AZ with a knee injury, joining Nicklas Bendtner, Denílson, Eduardo da Silva, Łukasz Fabiański and Johan Djourou on the sidelines. Defender Gaël Clichy has travelled to the Netherlands after overcoming an ankle problem.
