FC Internazionale Milano midfielder Thiago Motta has been suspended for two UEFA club competition matches by the UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body following his dismissal in the UEFA Champions League semi-final second leg against FC Barcelona in Spain on 28 April.
The verdict means that Motta will miss the UEFA Champions League final against FC Bayern München in Madrid on 22 May, and one further European club competition match for which he would be eligible.
An appeal may be lodged against the decision within three days of receipt of the reasons for the decision.
