There was plenty of enthusiasm on the pitch after the final whistle as KRC Genk players celebrated their home draw against Chelsea FC with their noisy supporters, and also post-match as László Köteles and Jelle Vossen shared their thoughts on the game. Köteles kept out a David Luiz penalty to kick-start a fightback which led to Vossen cancelling out Ramires's opening goal.

László Köteles, Genk goalkeeper
I thought [Luiz] would shoot there and thank God I saved it. It was very important because at 2-0 they probably would finished the game. The penalty save gave the team some hope, then we scored our first goal in this group stage. We are not a big club, we're a small one, so drawing with Chelsea feels like a win. It's a miracle for us. With a little more luck - and we did have some luck in the game – we could have taken all three points.

Jelle Vossen, Genk scorer
A draw against Chelsea certainly feels like a victory, especially considering how the game went. We went 1-0 down and then they missed a penalty, so in the end you have to be happy with a point. In the second half there were possibilities for us, but Chelsea also missed a good chance so a draw was a fair result.

Mario Been said to us at half-time that we had to pressurise Chelsea more and worry them. We showed a lot of courage. Maybe in London we showed them too much respect. This evening that wasn't the case and that made the difference. Obviously it was fantastic to score the goal because the UEFA Champions League is the highest level and the goal will be seen around the world, but it doesn't really matter who scores as long as we do.

David Luiz, Chelsea defender
We had a lot of respect for our opponents and it was a difficult game with both sides looking to win it. We have two games to go and we are top of the group, and we have total confidence in the work we are doing. Genk have some excellent players – it wasn't the same team that played us in London and we have to congratulate them for that.

Petr Čech, Chelsea goalkeeper
There is a sense of disappointment as we hit the crossbar and missed a penalty. For them it's a great point but for us it's a disappointment. We are in a good position at the top of the group, but with ten points we would have been in a better position. We still have everything in our hands.
