TUESDAY
Group E

PFC CSKA Moskva v FC Bayern München
• CSKA were already eliminated when they hosted Bayern on 27 November last year and the Bavarians' 3-1 victory secured a record tenth successive win in the UEFA Champions League. They had previously defeated CSKA 3-0 in Munich.

Manchester City FC v AS Roma
• City's most recent victory, home or away, against an Italian team was the 3-0 triumph against AC Milan in the 1978/79 UEFA Cup third round, which secured a 5-2 aggregate success.

Group F
APOEL FC v AFC Ajax
• Ajax are on a seven-game winless streak in UEFA Champions League away games, stretching back to a stretching back to a 2-0 victory at GNK Dinamo Zagreb in October 2011.

Paris Saint-Germain v FC Barcelona
• Coaches Laurent Blanc and Luis Enrique played together at the Camp Nou during the former's solitary campaign there (1996/97). Zlatan Ibrahimović spent 2009/10 at Barcelona, winning four trophies and scoring 16 goals in 29 Liga outings, while Thiago Motta and Maxwell have also represented the Spanish side.

Sporting Clube de Portugal v Chelsea FC
• Sporting have won their last three home games against English visitors without conceding a goal. The only defeat in nine such contests (W7 D1) was Manchester United FC's 1-0 victory in the 2007/08 group stage, Sporting's only previous UEFA Champions League encounter with a Premier League club.

FC Schalke 04 v NK Maribor
• Maribor have not won any of their four European matches with German opponents. They scored in only one, a 2-1 defeat at Borussia Dortmund in the 1993/94 UEFA Cup second round, but did record 0-0 draws in the home leg and at Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the 1999/2000 UEFA Champions League group stage.

FC Shakhtar Donetsk v FC Porto
• Porto won the 2011/12 group stage encounter between the teams in Ukraine when Hulk (79) and a Răzvan Raţ own goal (90) secured a 2-0 away victory. They had beaten Shakhtar 2-1 in Portugal.

FC BATE Borisov v Athletic Club
• BATE, who have lost all eight previous matches against Spanish sides, are hosting a group stage match in their own city for the first time. Their nine previous home games in the UEFA Champions League proper took place in Minsk.

Group A
Club Atlético de Madrid v Juventus
• Atlético won five and drew one of their six home fixtures in last season's UEFA Champions League. They have won 17 of their last 19 games at the Vicente Calderón in UEFA competition.

Malmö FF v Olympiacos FC
• For Malmö, runners-up in the 1978/79 European Champion Clubs' Cup, this is the first home match in the UEFA Champions League proper. The Swedish champions are facing Greek opposition for the first time in their 37th European campaign.

Group B
PFC Ludogorets Razgrad v Real Madrid CF
• Madrid scored 20 goals in six away games in last season's competition, winning four and losing just one – at Borussia Dortmund in the quarter-finals (0-2). Two of those victories came by a club-record 6-1 scoreline – at Galatasaray AŞ in the group stage and FC Schalke 04 in the round of 16 first leg.

FC Basel 1893 v Liverpool FC
• In the 2002/03 first group stage, Basel drew 1-1 at Anfield on matchday two. They then led Liverpool 3-0 at home on matchday six only for the Reds to earn a 3-3 draw with a second-half fightback. Steven Gerrard played in both games but was substituted at half-time in Basel, when the draw meant the home side pipped Liverpool to second place in the group by a point.

Group C
FC Zenit v AS Monaco FC
• Zenit have a formidable European record at the Petrovsky Stadium, winning 30 of 48 games and losing only three over 12 years before last season's 4-2 loss at home to Borussia Dortmund in the round of 16 first leg.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen v SL Benfica
• Benfica won both legs of the 2012/13 UEFA Europa League round of 32 encounter, 1-0 in the Rhineland through Óscar Cardozo's brilliant finish and 2-1 at home.

Group D
Arsenal FC v Galatasaray AŞ
• The teams' only previous meeting came in the 1999/2000 UEFA Cup final in Copenhagen. Galatasaray won 4-1 on penalties after a goalless 120 minutes, becoming the first Turkish team to win a UEFA competition.

RSC Anderlecht v Borussia Dortmund
• The sides met in the 1990/91 UEFA Cup third round when Anderlecht progressed on away goals, winning 1-0 at home and losing 2-1 away.
