Play Champions League Fantasy

Cristiano Ronaldo (Forward, €11.5m)

Always a premium price in #UCLfantasy, Ronaldo has been scoring goals for fun on the domestic front in the weeking leading up to the UEFA Champions League knockout stages. The Juventus star has scored in every Serie A game since his last European outing on Matchday 6 – an incredible run of ten consecutive league matches – and last season scored five goals in his four springtime UEFA Champions League appearances. When the big occasion arrives Ronaldo always seems to show up and with Juventus away at Lyon on Matchday 7, the Bianconeri will look to him to provide the goals that give them an advantage to take back to Turin.

Robert Lewandowski (Forward, €10.8m)

It would be remiss not to highlight the highest scoring #UCLfantasy player so far this season. Ten goals in five group stage matches for Lewandowski, including four on Matchday 5 against Crvena zvezda, illustrate his explosive potential. The Bayern striker currently leads the UEFA Champions League goalscoring charts, with a goal every 47 minutes. The German champions travel to Chelsea on matchday 7 and Lewandowski will be expecting to continue his red-hot goalscoring form against a side who kept only one clean sheet in the group stage, conceding nine goals in their six matches.

Mohamed Salah (Midfielder, €11.8m)

European champions Liverpool qualified for the UEFA Champions League knockout stages largely due to the exploits of Salah. The Egyptian registered four goals and two assists in the group stage, including a crucial Matchday 6 strike at Salzburg which helped see the Reds through Group E. Next week Liverpool travel to Madrid for the first time since lifting the trophy there last June. Salah has fond memories of the Estadio Metropolitano having scored the opening goal in last year's UEFA Champions League final and is likely to be a headache for the Atlético defence.

Kylian Mbappé (Forward, €10.5m)

The performances of the 21-year-old played a big part in Paris topping Group A ahead of Real Madrid, winning five of their six group matches. Mbappé not only scored five goals, but also registered three assists in just 330 minutes of football. He has also shone in domestic action this season, and with 15 goals is currently second in the Ligue 1 goalscoring charts. Paris travel to Germany on Matchday 7 to face Borussia Dortmund, with Mbappé looking to exploit a defence who have conceded 13 goals in their last six Bundesliga matches.

Heung-Min Son (Midfielder, €9.7m)

The Spurs midfielder recorded five goals and two assists in the group stage as last season's finalists finished as runners-up in Group B. Registering a total of 44 points over the first six matchdays, the South Korean is the joint fourth highest scoring #UCLfantasy player so far this season, alongside Erling Braut Haaland. After a quiet few weeks, Son is starting to hit form at just the right time on the domestic front, scoring in his last two Premier League games, and with key forward Harry Kane a long-term injury absentee, much rests on his shoulders to provide attacking returns against Leipzig.
