Foden's stunning City winner

Two of the three highest scoring midfielders from a #UCLfantasy perspective heading into the semi-finals both ply their trade at Manchester City. Topping the list is Phil Foden (€7.3m), who has accrued 55 Fantasy points over the course of the competition so far. Foden came into his own during the quarter-finals, scoring in both legs against Dortmund and of his 55 points, 24 have come over the course of the last three matchdays. The third highest scoring midfielder is team-mate İlkay Gündoğan (€6.9m) with 49 #UCLfantasy points accumulated from three goals and an assist alongside 35 ball recoveries. Both Foden and Gündoğan represent hugely enticing options for #UCLfantasy managers ahead of Matchday 11, with Josep Guardiola’s side facing Paris Saint-Germain in their semi-final first leg.

The reigning French champions and last season’s UEFA Champions League finalists come into the semi-finals off the back of eliminating Bayern, the team who beat them in the final last season. Ángel Di María (€8.9m) was in fine form during the quarter-finals and he could be key for them once more in the semi-finals as he looks to add to the goal and three assists he has currently managed in the competition.

Highlights: Liverpool 0-0 Real Madrid

Luka Modrić (€8.0m) has played a starring role for Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League this season both on the pitch and from a #UCLfantasy point of view, with the Croatian currently the second highest scoring midfielder remaining in the competition. Modric has accumulated 51 points so far, utilising the ball recovery system to great effect with 14 of those points coming via his 48 completed recoveries. Three assists and a goal to his name also illustrates his significant attacking threat and with a 13% ownership to his name, any #UCLfantasy managers looking for Real Madrid midfield assets on Matchday 11 should seriously consider him.

Highlights: Chelsea 0-1 Porto

Another player whose #UCLfantasy value has risen hugely due to his ball recoveries is Chelsea midfielder Jorginho (€6.2m). Of all the players remaining in this season’s UEFA Champions League, the Italian international has recorded the second highest number of ball recoveries with 62 to his name, behind only Casemiro (€6.3m) of Real Madrid with 77. Chelsea boast an array of intriguing #UCLfantasy options among their midfield, but Jorginho's ball recovery numbers along with his command of penalties sees him arguably stand out the most amid Thomas Tuchel's midfield.
