Champions League Fantasy Football: The Scout squad for Matchday 6

Diogo Costa, Thiago Silva, Vinícius Júnior, Mehdi Taremi and Rafa Silva all feature in the final group stage squad, which also involves Fantasy top scorer Kylian Mbappé.

Benfica, Porto and Real Madrid all provide three players for the Scout's final squad of the group stage, with Kylian Mbappé – the overall top scorer on #UCLfantasy, presented by Playstation – spearheading the attack and Chelsea's Thiago Silva in defence.

Diogo Costa's Porto penalty saves

Goalkeepers

There is a clear favourite for the goalkeeper position on Tuesday, three penalty saves having helped Diogo Costa (€5.1m) to an incredible 45 Fantasy points overall – 13 more than any other goalkeeper. With Porto still in contention to finish top of Group B and at home to eliminated Atlético de Madrid on Matchday 6, there is every chance the 23-year-old could add to his three clean sheets in this season's UEFA Champions League.

Also in action for a side hoping to nail down first place in their section is Thibaut Courtois (€6.0m), whose Real Madrid side welcome a Celtic side who have managed only three goals to date. Courtois has recorded two clean sheets from his three Group F appearances ahead of Wednesday's fixture.

Defenders

Porto are also represented among the five defenders, Zaidu (€4.6m) – who has collected 20 points across the last three matchdays – being backed to add to that tally at home to Atlético. Also involved from Group B is Club Brugge's Brandon Mechele (€4.4m), who scored 30 points across the first four matchdays and added another five to that total last time out even though the Belgian side conceded four goals, his ball recovery total accounting for three of those five points.

Alejandro Grimaldo (€5.3m) scored a remarkable 20 points on Matchday 1 and, with Benfica vying for first place in Group H, is well placed for another big haul in the rematch with Maccabi Haifa. Napoli's Giovanni Di Lorenzo (€5.1m) is the top-scoring defender on the game overall with 40 points, 21 of them from his two away appearances ahead of a trip to Liverpool to settle the Group A winners, while Thiago Silva (€5.5m) has collected eight of his 23 points via ball recoveries as Chelsea take on Dinamo Zagreb aiming to make sure of finishing top of Group E.

Highlights: Benfica 4-3 Juventus

Midfielders

There are also players from Napoli and Benfica selected in midfield. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (€5.8m) has been a regular in the Scout selections during the group stage, returning 31 points despite his low price, although having sat out Matchday 5 there may be concerns around his selection at Anfield. João Mário (€6.0m) also has 31 points having scored consistently throughout the group stage, delivering ten on Matchday 5 – his highest total to date – ahead of the appealing-looking trip to Maccabi Haifa.

Real Madrid pair Vinícius Júnior (€10.0m) and Federico Valverde (€6.7m) are both picked for the holders' game at home to Celtic. The Brazilian is another midfielder on 31 points after five rounds of matches, 14 of those coming in his two home appearances and another eight in Glasgow on Matchday 1, while Valverde has seven goals and three assists in all competitions for Madrid this season.

The midfield is completed by Steven Berghuis (€7.2m); Ajax have found the going tough in Group A with Berghuis scoring only 23 points, although 11 of those came against Matchday 6 opponents Rangers in Amsterdam.

Highlights: Paris 7-2 M. Haifa

Forwards

The contingent of Porto and Benfica players is taken to three up front by the inclusion of Mehdi Taremi (€7.5m) and Rafa Silva (€8.5m). The pair are fifth and sixth respectively in the Fantasy points ranking, Taremi having collected all his 31 points in the last three games, including a bumper 14 last time out, while Rafa Silva managed 13 points on Matchday 5 and has 30 overall.

Out in front on the Fantasy points ranking among forwards – and joint top with Jude Bellingham across all positions – is Kylian Mbappé (€11.2m), whose 16 points on Matchday 5 made it 49 overall. The Paris Saint-Germain striker has returned nine or more points in four of his five group appearances, including 13 – courtesy of two goals – against final-day opponents Juventus in the French capital.
