• Daniele De Rossi is expected to be fit despite missing the Udinese game with a groin injury sustained on Italy duty.

• Juan sat out the meetings with Fiorentina and Juventus due to a minor thigh injury but started against Udinese.

• Adriano came on as a substitute in the same game, having twisted his left ankle in training prior to the defeat at Napoli.

• David Pizarro was an unused substitute against Udinese after being ruled out for three weeks following an injury to his left thigh sustained in training on 27 October.

• Rodrigo Taddei has not played since suffering a recurrence of a calf injury in the warm-up at Parma FC on 24 October.

• Louis van Gaal made two changes to the team which beat 1. FC Nürnberg 3-0 on 14 November, Thomas Müller and Breno replacing Hamit Altıntop and Martín Demichelis.

• Bayern are unbeaten in their last nine matches in all competitions, winning six.

• Mario Gomez has scored 12 goals during that run, including two hat-tricks. The Germany striker missed out on another treble when he squandered a late penalty against Nürnberg.

• Philipp Lahm did convert from the spot against Nürnberg after plundering his first goal of the season in the 3-3 draw with VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach on 6 November.

Injury news
• Demichelis failed to recover from a thigh injury for the trip to Leverkusen, having also taken no part in Argentina's friendly against Brazil.

• Franck Ribéry (right ankle ligaments, injured on 21 September) returned for the final 20 minutes against Nürnberg.

• Mark van Bommel (knee, 12 October) and Diego Contento (groin, 21 September) were unused substitutes in that match. Contento remained on the bench against Leverkusen but Van Bommel suffered a recurrence of his injury and did not make the squad.

• Breno was a half-time replacement in the Nürnberg encounter, having been sidelined since rupturing his cruciate ligament while on loan at the club in March.

• Ivica Olić, who broke his nose at the start of October, was ruled out for six months after knee surgery on 9 November.

• David Alaba made a nine-minute substitute appearance against Mönchengladbach having been out since 27 September with an ankle problem.

• Holger Badstuber has been sidelined since pulling up with a groin problem in the warm-up against SC Freiburg on 29 October.

• Miroslav Klose was ruled out for three weeks after tearing his hamstring in training on 27 October, 15 days after suffering a similar injury on international duty.

• Arjen Robben (torn left thigh muscle) and third-choice goalkeeper Rouven Sattelmaier (bicep) are both expected to be out until the new year.
