On a busy day of comings and goings, AFC Ajax have signed Kolbeinn Sigthórsson and Thulani Serero while allowing Rasmus Lindgren to leave permanently and Roly Bonevacia to go out on loan.

Icelandic international forward Sigthórsson, who scored 15 goals in 32 Eredivisie appearances for AZ Alkmaar in 2010/11, has agreed a four-year deal at the Amsterdam ArenA. "I am proud to have signed a contract with Ajax," said the 21-year-old, who has been handed the No9 shirt. "A lot of fantastic players have worn that number. I am fast and capable of scoring goals. I hope to become a better player, to win trophies and to score even more than last season."

Midfielder Serero arrives from Ajax's sister club Ajax Cape Town after putting pen to paper on a two-year contract with the option of a further two years. Also 21, the South African international was voted player of the season in his homeland last term.

Moving away from Ajax, who will enter the UEFA Champions League group stage as Dutch titleholders, is Lindgren. The 26-year-old Sweden midfielder has ended his second spell with the Amsterdammers by joining FC Salzburg. His fellow midfielder Bonevacia, 19, will spend next season on loan at NAC Breda.
