UEFA Champions League play-off contenders FC København have signed Pape Paté Diouf from Norwegian side Molde FK, with the Senegalese left-winger agreeing a four-year contract.

The 25-year-old was in his sixth season with Tippeligaen leaders Molde, where he scored 45 goals in 125 games after joining from SC de Rufisque in 2006, but could not resist an offer from the Danish champions. "I couldn't say no to Scandinavia's greatest club. I am really looking forward to playing in qualifying for the Champions League," said the Dakar-born Diouf.

FCK sporting director Carsten V Jansen added: "Pape has developed into a hard-working left-winger who is dangerous in front of goal and likes to get into the box. In the air, he is a match for any opponent."
