Chelsea FC will be without David Luiz for both legs of their UEFA Champions League semi-final against FC Barcelona due to a hamstring injury.

The Brazilian centre-back suffered the injury in Sunday's 5-1 FA Cup semi-final win against Tottenham Hotspur FC, going off in the 59th minute. On the eve of the first leg against the European champions at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea's interim coach Roberto Di Matteo revealed the defender is facing around a fortnight on the sidelines.

"He will miss tomorrow and he's a big loss for us," Di Matteo told the pre-match press conference. "We hope to get him back in two weeks, maybe; hopefully before the end of the season." The second leg against Barcelona takes place at the Camp Nou on 25 April.
