Music acts at UEFA Champions Festival

Aloe Blacc, Finnish band Sunrise Avenue, Café del Mar DJs and German acts Moop Mama and Kellner will perform at the UEFA Champions Festival in Munich between 16 and 19 May.

A host of music acts have been confirmed to perform at this year's UEFA Champions Festival in Munich. International pop star Aloe Blacc, Finnish band Sunrise Avenue, José Padilla, creator of Café del Mar compilations, and German acts Moop Mama and Kellner will take to the stage during the free four-day festival, which will take place in Munich's Olympiapark from 16–19 May.

The acts, presented by UEFA Champions League partner Sony, will provide free evening entertainment throughout the festival. Moop Mama, Padilla, Kellner and Aloe Blacc will perform on the mini pitch in the Olympiapark, while Sunrise Avenue will play at the official 2012 UEFA Champions League final public screening taking place at the Olympiastadion.

The 2012 UEFA Champions Festival will open at 12.00CET on Wednesday 16 May and stay open until 20.00CET on Saturday 19 May. UEFA invites fans, families, all Müncheners and visitors to the city to 'Join the Game' by visiting the festival and taking part in the free activities on offer.

Giorgio Marchetti, UEFA's director of competitions, said: "UEFA is pleased to be able to offer a range of free activities to the Champions Festival visitors. Football, just like music, is for everyone to enjoy and we hope that a record number of fans will experience the magic of European football and the UEFA Champions League at this year's festival in Munich."

Steffi Jones, the 2012 UEFA Women's Champions League final ambassador, and 2012 UEFA Champions League ambassador Paul Breitner will be on hand during the festival to meet and greet fans and children will be invited to attend skills clinics and coaching courses led by professional football coaches and former players.

Each day of the UEFA Champions Festival will have a different theme, with proceedings kicking off on Wednesday dedicated to grassroots football. The festival will also offer a stage for the 2012 UEFA Women's Champions League final, which takes place at 18.00CET on Thursday 17 May in the adjacent Olympiastadion. Tickets are available via UEFA's official ticket sales partner for the final, München Ticket, at www.muenchenticket.de.
