AEL Limassol FC will a take a narrow lead into next week's UEFA Champions League third qualifying round second leg at FK Partizan thanks to Vouho's early strike.

The hosts started the brighter of the two sides and were ahead on 13 minutes when Vouho pounced on a mistake by Nikola Aksentijević, rounded goalkeeper Vladimir Stojković and scored into an empty net. Partizan almost responded immediately through Stefan Šćepović but Matias Degra was quick off his line to deny the 22-year-old forward.

Vouho came close to a second of the evening but some last-ditch defending prevented him from extending the lead after Stojković could only parry Luciano Bebê's strike. Vladimir Vermezović's visitors pushed forward late on as they went in search of an equaliser but Degra stood tall to repel efforts from Nemanja Tomić and Šćepović.

AEL's Edwin Ouon and Dédé fired over from good positions in the remaining minutes.
