International duty
• Nine Milan players were on senior duty during the international break: Giampaolo Pazzini, Antonio Nocerino, Francesco Acerbi (Italy), Urby Emanuelson (Netherlands), Mario Yepes, Cristián Zapata (Colombia), Djamel Mesbah (Algeria), Kévin Constant (Guinea) and Bakaye Traoré (Mali).

• Stephan El Shaarawy scored twice as Italy booked a place in next month's UEFA European Under-21 Championship play-offs with a 7-0 win against Liechtenstein on 7 September.

• Ignazio Abate and Riccardo Montolivo started for Italy in the 4-0 UEFA EURO 2012 final defeat by Spain in July.

• Montolivo, Robinho (both thigh) and Kevin-Prince Boateng (hand) were not on international duty because of injuries.

• Pato is yet to play this season for Milan because of a thigh injury picked up on 22 August that will force him to miss the Anderlecht game.

• Inzaghi retired in the summer and took over the Allievi Nazionali youth side, who play in the Italian Under-16 league. His coaching debut ended with a 5-1 victory over Bologna FC on 9 September.

• Gillet's maiden international goal in 18 appearances, a first-half volley, earned Belgium a 1-1 draw with Croatia in FIFA World Cup qualifying on 11 September. He also featured in the 2-0 win against Wales four days earlier.

• Juhász scored Hungary's opener in their 5-0 triumph over Andorra on 7 September.

• Mbokani scored twice in DR Congo's 4-0 win against Equatorial Guinea in Africa Cup of Nations qualifying on 9 September.

• Bram Nuytinck struck the opener as the Netherlands beat Austria 4-1 on 7 September to secure their place in the UEFA European Under-21 Championship play-offs.

• Anderlecht beat KSC Lokeren OV 3-2 on 22 July to win the Belgian Super Cup.

• The club's Constant Vanden Stock Stadium was renovated this summer. The orange seats have been replaced by the traditional purple and white of Anderlecht, more space has been created for supporters and a new VIP section introduced.

• Matías Suárez, Belgian Player of the Year last season, is not in Anderlecht's UEFA Champions League squad after being ruled out until later in the year following knee surgery.
