Juventus have added to their attacking riches by tying up a deal for Manchester City FC forward Carlos Tévez, who moves to Turin for a fee of €9m which could rise to €15m.

The 29-year-old, who has plied his trade in England since joining West Ham United FC in 2006, has penned a three-year contract. "I am very happy to be here," said Tévez after being handed the No10 shirt. "Juventus showed more interest in signing me than anyone else."

Tévez initially made his name at hometown club CA Boca Juniors and continued his goalscoring exploits during a two-year association with SC Corinthians Paulista. A desire to test himself in Europe brought about a move to West Ham, for whom he scored seven times.

His final goal for the Hammers came during a 1-0 win at Old Trafford, coincidentally the destination of his next home. At Manchester United FC, Tévez found the net 19 times, often from the bench, and won two Premier League crowns, an FA Cup, and the UEFA Champions League in 2007/08.

Tévez swapped United for their cross-town rivals in 2009/10, captaining City to FA Cup glory later that season. He claimed another league title the following year and leaves the Citizens having registered 58 goals in 113 league outings

Capped 62 times by Argentina, Tévez links up with fellow recruit Fernando Llorente as Juventus bid for a third straight Serie A title. UEFA Champions League quarter-finalists last time out, Antono Conte's team start the 2013/14 campaign from the group stage.
