I'm very proud, especially because we secured those victories in such a dominant fashion – ten consecutive victories in Europe is something very special. It wasn't an easy game today, but the team showed a great reaction on the pitch. This game showed what great character this team have. There are no excuses at a club like Bayern – you always have to play well.

It's fair to say that the group stage has finished for us now. It was a good game and we won despite the difficult weather conditions. We kept possession really well and that was certainly pleasing. This is a great result for us; I'm a happy man.

It's normal in European football that the initiative is constantly changing between the two sides. CSKA are a very good team and they managed to create a number of good chances in the second half. I am really pleased for Mario Götze and really happy with his performance. He has found his position in out team and I am very happy for him.

Leonid Slutski, CSKA coach
We were drawn in the same group as categorically the best team in Europe. I think Manchester City are also one of the best, considering their current situation. I wouldn't say we failed in our away matches, but we haven't been good enough to pick up points. We played pretty well and we fought well at home against some of the best sides in the world.

Unfortunately, we didn't make the most of the chances we created. Today it was all about converting chances, because it's hard to create many if you play against Bayern. Both teams looked sharp and we didn't have any fewer chances than our opponents. I'm very proud of the way we played in the second half.

We have too often been missing players through injury. However, we still had 11 players on the pitch and the responsibility was theirs. We didn't have luck this time – hopefully we will be luckier next time.
