Borussia Dortmund have received another injury blow ahead of their trip to FC Zenit with the news that Sven Bender could be out until May with a groin inflammation.

Borussia Dortmund's round of 16 first leg tie against FC Zenit begins to look even more difficult, as Sven Bender becomes the latest player on a growing injury list.

The Germany midfielder suffered a groin inflammation in Saturday's 3-0 loss at Hamburger SV and club physician Dr Markus Braun has recommended six weeks of rest followed by four more of rehab. That is bad news for Dortmund, who are already without Mats Hummels, Jakub Błaszczykowski, Neven Subotić and İlkay Gündoğan going into Wednesday's match in Russia.
