Transfer boost for Tel-Aviv

Israeli side Maccabi Tel-Aviv FC have reinforced their squad ahead of their second qualifying round tie.

Out of Africa
The incoming players are Ghanaian striker Ishmael Addo from Premier League rivals Maccabi Netanya FC and defender Ibrahim N'dalla from Nigerian club Wikki Tourists. The moves follow the recent sale of Latvian international striker Andrejs Prohorenkovs to FC Dinamo Moskva.

Watching brief
Tel-Aviv coach Nir Klinger attended last night's first qualifying round first-leg match between HJK and Linfield in Belfast, which was won 1-0 by the Finnish side.

'No fear'
Klinger, who led his team to second place in Israel last season, is relishing the challenge of Champions League football. "I believe in my players and am not afraid to put them on this stage," he said. Klinger and his squad have prepared for the campaign with a training camp in the Netherlands.
