FC Basel 1893 have agreed a deal to sign the 19-goal top scorer in the Swiss Super League last season, Albanian international Shkelzen Gashi, from Grasshopper Club.

UEFA Champions League hopefuls FC Basel 1893 have reached an agreement with domestic rivals Grasshopper Club to sign attacking midfielder Shkelzen Gashi.
The Albanian international, who was born in Zurich, will sign a four-year contract in the coming days subject to passing a medical. Both clubs have agreed to keep the details of the transfer for the 25-year-old confidential.
Gashi started his career with FC Zürich before spells with FC Schaffhausen, AC Bellinzona, Neuchâtel Xamax FC and FC Aarau. In 2012 he left for Grasshoppers and registered 24 times in 60 top-flight appearances, 19 of his goals coming last season as he finished top scorer in the Swiss Super League.
Basel will start their UEFA Champions League campaign in the group stage, the draw for which takes place on 28 August.
