Paris wield their power, Juve in seventh heaven

Paris Saint-Germain took the spoils in Le Classique on a weekend that featured seven goals for Juventus and fresh wins for the likes of Real Madrid CF and Chelsea FC.

Paris Saint-Germain moved within a point of the Ligue 1 summit courtesy of a 2-0 success against Classique rivals Olympique de Marseille, on a weekend that featured a seven-goal display by Juventus and further domestic wins for Chelsea FC, Real Madrid CF and FC Bayern München.

Group A
• Beaten 2-1 at Real Sociedad de Fútbol, Club Atlético de Madrid slipped to fourth in Spain.
• Second in the Greek standings, Olympiacos FC enjoyed a comfortable 5-1 success at home against Panthrakikos FC.
• Carlos Tévez, Fernando Llorente and Álvaro Morata all scored twice as Juventus dismantled Parma FC 7-0.
• Having completed the Swedish league campaign as champions, Malmö FF are not in action again until a Swedish Cup tie at IS Halmia next weekend.

Real Madrid recorded their 13th straight win in all competitions, dispatching Rayo Vallecano de Madrid 5-1.

• Emre Can gave Liverpool FC the lead against Chelsea at Anfield, but the Premier League leaders battled back to prevail 2-1.
PFC Ludogorets Razgrad remain five points shy of Bulgarian pacesetters PFC CSKA Sofia despite downing PFC Lokomotiv Plovdiv 1936 2-0.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen dropped to sixth in Bundesliga after being held 0-0 at home to 1. FSV Mainz 05.
AS Monaco FC drew for the second consecutive week in Ligue 1, recording a 1-1 result at AS Saint-Étienne.
FC Zenit's unbeaten start to the Russian Premier League season evaporated with a 3-1 home defeat by second-placed FC Terek Grozny. 
• Top of the Portuguese Liga pile, SL Benfica engineered a 2-1 success at CD Nacional.

Borussia Dortmund finally ended a run of five straight Bundesliga losses with a 1-0 win at home to VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach.
• Alexis Sánchez fired his eighth Premier League goal for Arsenal FC, before the Gunners succumbed 2-1 at Swansea City AFC.
• Aleksandar Mitrović and Ibrahima Conté found the net as Belgian pacesetters RSC Anderlecht won 2-0 at closest rivals KAA Gent.
Galatasaray AŞ remain joint top in Turkey after prevailing 2-1 at Kardemir Karabükspor.

Bayern's imperious form continued as they sent four unanswered goals past Eintracht Frankfurt, Thomas Müller hitting a hat-trick.
• Three points off the pace in Serie A, AS Roma posted a 3-0 victory against Torino FC.
PFC CSKA Moskva fell seven points off the Russian summit following a 1-0 loss at capital neighbours FC Dinamo Moskva.
• Manchester City FC twice came from behind to rescue a 2-2 draw at Queens Park Rangers FC thanks to Sergio Agüero's double.

• Arkadiusz Milik helped himself to a double for second-placed Eredivisie side AFC Ajax as they earned a 4-2 victory at SC Cambuur.
• Top of the table in Cyprus, APOEL FC host bottom club Doxa Katokopia FC on Monday.

Chelsea recorded their ninth win in 11 Premier League games this term with a 2-1 success at Liverpool, Diego Costa hitting the winner.
FC Schalke 04 slipped to a 2-0 loss at SC Freiburg, leaving them 11th in the Bundesliga standings.
Sporting Clube de Portugal dropped to seventh in the Liga table in the wake of a 1-1 stalemate with FC Paços de Ferreira.
NK Maribor boosted their prospects in the Slovenian elite via a 3-1 success away at NK Krka.
