Phillip Cocu, PSV coach
We constantly knew the situation from the other match. For the first hour we were dangerous until we reached the edge of their box, but CSKA are a very tough team.

I am proud of my players, we believed in it and we were going for the win. Of course it wasn't easy. You need faith, belief and confidence. I prefer to play our own way but sometimes you need to make a small change. The result is what counts.

We have got some great results, like the win against Manchester United, and that gave us confidence. The fans were fantastic, singing and cheering for the full 90 minutes. That gives a boost to the team and the opposition doesn't like it.

With such an atmosphere they are creating something extra for the team. After going behind, my players reacted immediately. We showed that we were not beaten and were willing to go for it, and now I am enjoying this moment.

Bruma delight at 'huge' PSV win

Leonid Slutski, CSKA coach
For the whole match the teams were very equal. What proved crucial was PSV's first goal. My players were fighting for the result but in the end they could not make it happen. Yes, it is a disappointing evening.

We had more possibilities this year than in previous years – after the draw, we thought we could make it to the next round.
