Highlights: CSKA Moskva 1-1 Monaco

Leonardo Jardim, Monaco coach
CSKA are bottom of the group, but I still see them as a strong team. I know Lacina Traoré very well. He's not the most aesthetic of players, but he's effective and he'll be very motivated to play against us. CSKA will give it everything they can to win. We're at home and we want to put on a good show and get the three points in order to try to help the team qualify for the last 16.

Leonid Slutski, CSKA coach
The only thing that concerns me is the spirit within the team. Recent results have hurt but we need to keep calm. We can't speak about objectives in terms of qualifying for the Europa League or going through to the next stage of the Champions League. We're in a difficult group. We could have beaten Tottenham. We are focused on getting a result.

Weekend results
St-Étienne 1-1 Monaco (Perrin 18; Glik 5)
Kamil Glik charged into the box to finish from an early free-kick, but the trail went cold for Monaco thereafter as they went on to record their first Ligue 1 draw since the opening day of the season.

Spartak Moskva 3-1 CSKA Moskva (Glushakov 19, Zé Luis 76 89; Strandberg 82)
Carlos Strandberg's second goal for the Army Men represented scant consolation as they lost their second Moscow derby in as many weekends, having gone down to Lokomotiv Moskva last time out.

Reporter's view: David Crossan (@UEFAcomDavidC)
Monaco were flat in the Russian capital a fortnight ago yet escaped with a point thanks to Bernardo Silva's late strike. Expect a much-improved display in a bid to consolidate their position at the top of the section. The Stade Louis II didn't see the best of tall CSKA forward Lacina Traoré as he managed only four league goals in two seasons in the principality, yet Glik and his fellow defenders will be determined to prevent the on-loan Ivorian scoring against his parent club.
