Fresh Scholl blow for Bayern

Kramny collision
Scholl finished the match, in which he scored Bayern's second goal, despite picking up the injury after a collision with Jürgen Kramny in the first half. However, afterwards the former German international, who was capped 36 times, started to feel the pain and scans revealed the extent of the injury.

Huge setback
For Scholl, this latest injury is a huge setback. The 34-year-old was making his first start for the club in three months against Mainz, but he will now have to wait until the new year before returning again. He has played just 21 minutes of UEFA Champions League football this term.

Injury problems
Scholl, the longest-serving player at the Olympiastadion, has has an injury-plagued career and made just one Bundesliga start last season due to thigh and back injuries.
