Lizarazu back at Bayern

Bixente Lizarazu has rejoined FC Bayern München after only six months at Olympique de Marseille.

Training camp
The 35-year-old left the Olympiastadion for Marseille in the summer, signing a contract until 2006, but failed to settle at the southern club. He will link up with his former team-mates at a training camp in Dubai on Thursday after signing a contract until the end of the season, when Philipp Lahm will return from a two-year loan spell at VfB Stuttgart.

'Worked things out'
"Liza called me during the winter break and told me that he wasn't enjoying his football in Marseille," said Bayern general manager Uli Hoeness. "I then contacted Olympique officials and we worked things out." Lizarazu played 151 Bundesliga games for Bayern between 1997 and 2004, winning four titles and three German Cups.

Champions League
A UEFA Champions League winner with Bayern in 2001, Lizarazu will be eligible to play for the club in this season's competition, if registered, as Marseille did not qualify for European football this term. Felix Magath's side play Arsenal FC in the last 16.
