Liverpool FC have agreed an undisclosed fee with Sunderland AFC for the sale of defender Stephen Wright.
Personal terms
Wright, an English Under-21 international full-back, will discuss personal terms and have a medical with the north east club early next week. He signed a new three-year deal with Liverpool last year, but has fallen further down the pecking order with the return from illness of German defender Markus Babbel.
'Agreed a fee'
"We have had discussions with Sunderland and have agreed a fee for the player," said Liverpool spokesman Ian Cotton. "We have now given Sunderland permission to speak directly with Stephen."
