Schaaf hails 'special' night

Werder Bremen coach Thomas Schaaf hailed his side's winning UEFA Champions League performance against Juventus as "something special".

Thomas Schaaf, Bremen coach
It was a fantastic night. Juventus have great quality, and how we played against them, especially in the first half, was something special. This was one of our best matches in the [UEFA] Champions League. Nobody can take away what happened tonight but now we have to prepare ourselves for the match in Turin. We will have to defend against Juventus and if we do, we can go through, but it will be a very tough game. We will once again have to play at our best; Juventus will ask questions of us and we will have to solve them.

Fabio Capello, Juventus coach
It was a good match, but we threw victory away at the end by conceding two goals that we shouldn't have conceded. We didn't give them many chances in open play, however, and most of their dangerous moments came from free-kicks and corners. I didn't think we were complacent; we knew we were playing against a strong team and we had two one-on-one opportunities against their goalkeeper. Five minutes before the final whistle I was very satisfied, but then Bremen took their chances and we didn't.
