Real Madrid CF striker Roberto Soldado will spend the forthcoming season on loan at fellow UEFA Champions League contenders CA Osasuna.

Pamplona trip
The 21-year-old left Madrid's training camp in Austria on Sunday morning to sign his loan contract in Pamplona. He started one top-flight game last season and came off the bench ten times, scoring two goals. The highlight of his 2005/06 campain came in September, when he scored a late winner in Madrid's 2-1 UEFA Champions League victory against Olympiacos CFP.

'Great future'
Soldado hopes to get another taste of the action with Osasuna, who enter the competition in the third qualifying round after finishing fourth in the league last term. "Real Madrid greatly value the experience the player, who has a great future ahead of him, will gain during a year at another Primera División club which is also taking part in the UEFA Champions League," said a statement on Madrid's website.
