AaB suffer Beauchamp KO

Australian central defender Michael Beauchamp has been ruled out for the remainder of Aalborg BK's UEFA Champions League group stage campaign following a recurrence of a long-standing knee injury.

Miserable start
The 27-year-old has made only five appearances in all competitions since signing in the summer, and will not be able to add to that tally until 2009. AaB physio Henrik Bøgvad said: "Unfortunately, Michael's injury has flared up again, and this time he will be out for the rest of the year." Fourth in the section, AaB must win their two remaining Group E games to have any chance of qualifying for the knockout stage, starting at home against Celtic FC next Tuesday.
