FC Internazionale Milano have signed Diego Milito from Genoa CFC with Italy Under-21 striker Robert Acquafresca moving in the opposite direction.

Potent partnership
Argentinian international forward Milito, 30, has agreed a four-year deal with the Nerazzurri, who now have Serie A's two most prolific scorers on their books as they seek to cement their recent dominance in Italy. The man known as 'El Príncipe' – because of his resemblance to Uruguayan favourite Enzo Francescoli – struck 24 goals in 31 Serie A games last season, just one fewer than the man likely to be his new strike partner, Zlatan Ibrahimović.

Acquafresca switch
Milito will line up in the UEFA Champions League group stage this coming campaign while for Acquafresca, a makeweight in the deal, it will be domestic issues after UEFA Europa League hopefuls Genoa loaned him out to Atalanta BC for the season. The 21-year-old scored 14 goals on loan at Cagliari Calcio last term and found the net three times for Italy in the UEFA European Under-21 Championship finals in Sweden.
