Salihamidzic extends Bayern stay

Bosnia-Herzegovnian international Hasan Salihamidzic has extended his FC Bayern München contract for two years.
Hasan Salihamidzic has extended his contract at UEFA Champions League challengers FC Bayern München for another two years, keeping him at the club until 2007.

Speculation ended
Putting pen to paper, the Bosnia-Herzegovnian international ended speculation about his future following Roy Makaay's recent move from RC Deportivo La Coruña. The 26-year-old joined Bayern in 1998 from Hamburger SV and immediately won a place in the starting lineup.

Injury comeback
Salihamidzic, who helped Bayern win the 2000/01 Champions League, returned at the beginning of this season after two long breaks due to cruciate ligament injuries. He scored in his comeback match, helping the German champions to a 3-1 opening day victory against Eintracht Frankfurt.
