Reporter's view: After a bumpy start, incoming coach Vincenzo Montella has steered Sevilla to the Copa del Rey final and re-jigged the team. Luis Muriel is much more involved, Gabi Mercado is more centre-half than right-back, while Pablo Sarabia and Fran Vázquez have been in tremendous creative form. If Tucu Correa and Éver Banega are fit, Sevilla will pose a much greater threat than might have been expected a few weeks ago. Game on.

Possible line-ups

Sevilla: Rico; Navas, Mercado, Lenglet, Escudero; N'Zonzi, Banega; Muriel, Vázquez, Sarabia; Ben Yedder
Out: Carriço (muscular), Kjær (back)
Misses next match if booked: Banega, Escudero, Mercado

It's vital that we are in good physical shape, that we concentrate hard, that we are full of pride. It's a great stimulus to pit my team against Mourinho's because he's been a pioneer in our field. I've read his books, studied his tactics – without question he's a football coach to learn from.

José Mourinho, Man. United manager

Champions League dreams start around the quarter-finals, not before. At the last-16 stage there is still a long way to go. For now we have to focus on what will be a very difficult tie. Montella is Italian, and Italians know how to organise defensively, so we go with everything we have. Only at 22:30 do we think about the next match.
