Built with the help of UEFA's HatTrick assistance programme, and located on the site of the former Qemal Stafa Stadium, this is a fitting venue for UEFA's newest club tournament. Indeed, this will be the first time a major UEFA final will be played in Albania.
Tirana's National Arena (Arena Kombëtare) was chosen to stage the first UEFA Europa Conference League final by the UEFA Executive Committee on 3 December 2020. The stadium was built, with the help of UEFA's HatTrick assistance programme, on the site of the former Qemal Stafa Stadium in the centre of the Albanian capital. The new venue opened in November 2019 with a European Qualifier between Albania and France.
The venue has a unique modern look, including a 112m-tall tower at one corner, but honours its history with the four stands named in honour of World War II hero Qemal Stafa and three local club greats: Partizani's Panajot Pano, KF Tirana's Fatmir Frashëri and Dinamo Tirana's Vasillaq Zëri.
