SV Werder Bremen's Krisztián Lisztes has won Hungary's footballer of the year award for 2002.
The Golden Ball
The SV Werder Bremen player collected his prize, the Hungarian Golden Ball, from Hungarian Football Federation president Imre Bozóky before Wednesday's international friendly against Moldova. The match, at Budapest's Üllõi úti stadium, ended in a 1-1 draw.
Király sets precedent
Lisztes followed another 1. Bundesliga star in picking up the accolade, which is awarded by a panel of journalists. The recipient for the previous four years had been Hertha BSC Berlin goalkeeper Gábor Király.
