French superstar DJ and music producer David Guetta has revealed in a Twitter Q&A that he is in Los Angeles to start work on the official UEFA EURO 2016 anthem, promising a massive star guest on vocals.

In an answer to a question posed by Atlético de Madrid's French international forward Antoine Griezmann (@antogriezmann), Guetta said he has taken up the challenge and is now recording his contribution.

"I'm delighted that I will get the chance to play this song to you all," Guetta replied from a Twitter #BlueRoom on Friday. "I'm very, very happy. The song is still under wraps, but it will be an amazing project. I fly to Los Angeles in two days and we'll record the tune there. I still cannot say who is going to be on it, but it is a huge star."

While Guetta was giving nothing away about a song that will be the anthem of next summer's tournament in France, he said Queen's We Are The Champions has set the benchmark for his contribution.

Answering a question from the official French @EURO2016 account about what was his favourite sporting anthem, Guetta replied: "I'm not entirely sure whether it's a sporting anthem or not, but one of the most incredible songs would be with no doubt We Are The Champions by Queen. It was the benchmark for me and I said to myself: 'Wow, I'm not sure I can do something as extraordinary as this' when I tried to work on the EURO anthem."

Two fans each won a pair of tickets for UEFA EURO 2016 at the Stade de France after having their questions answered in the Q&A session.
