President Hollande reveals his 11 Tricolore

French President François Hollande has unveiled a special committee of 11 experts from various fields who will provide and support activities around UEFA EURO 2016.

French President François Hollande has announced the creation of a special committee to provide and support activities around UEFA EURO 2016.

The 11 Tricolore is made up of 11 experts in various fields, including culture, youth, digital technology, disability, sustainable development, employment, economics and tourism.

"This group will have the responsibility of embodying, in the eyes of the general public, the state's involvement around EURO 2016," explained Mr Hollande. "We want EURO 2016 to be a festival, an occasion, a gathering that can encompass the whole of France, and that is the purpose of the work this team will lead."

Saturday's press conference also saw the unveiling of Tous Prêts!, a joint initiative from the Ministry for Sports and French Football Federation (FFF). From 1 July, all animation projects meeting the programme's requirements can receive a communication kit and, in some cases, financial support.
