Ukraine will conclude Group C against UEFA EURO 2012 co-hosts and neighbours Poland, but it is the opening fixture against world champions Germany that Mykhaylo Fomenko believes will be just as pivotal to his side's chances next summer.

There are no weak opponents at the EURO finals and the opening game against the world champions will be double motivation for our players to perform. The first match will set the tone for our EURO. It's a very important event for our country and our fans.

One of the most important games will be the third one on 21 June against our friends and neighbours Poland; who gets to the next round will depend a lot on that game. The most important thing for our players is to bring happiness to every home and every family in Ukraine.
