Bracket Predictor rules

The UEFA EURO 2016 Hyundai Predictor is a free game, where the player needs to predict the complete tournament result before the competition starts.

A UEFA EURO 2016 Hyundai Predictor player can register to participate and compete for prizes. You can also play as "guest" in anonymous mode, but you won't be eligible to win prizes or participate in the global leaderboard.

Once your prediction is submitted, you will not be able to edit it at any time. Predictions can be made before the competition, with the deadline 9 June at 13.00CET – the day before the tournament kicks off.

During the competition, you will earn points based on your correct predictions (see scoring section for more details).

How to play
In order to submit a valid prediction, you will need to predict the full tournament bracket, from group stage to final.

Step 1: Group Stage
In the group stage, you need to predict the final standings for each of the six groups (A, B, C, D, E and F).

According to the UEFA EURO 2016 competition regulations, the top two teams from each group will qualify directly for the Round of 16.

To complete your group prediction, you will need to select the best four of the six third-place teams.

Step 2: Knockout phase
Once the groups are fully completed, you will then predict the winner of each match-up for the round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals and final.

Please note that if you need to edit any group stage prediction at any stage before submitting your bracket, you will need to redo all your knockout bracket.

Scoring system

• Group Stage
  Correctly predict a Group winner: 10pts
  Correctly predict a Group Runner-Up: 10pts
  Correctly predict a Third Place qualifier: 5pts
• Group Stage (Bonus Points)
  Correctly predict the top two teams (in any order): 3pts
  Correctly predict all four Third Place qualifiers: 15pts

• Knockout Stage (quarter-finals onwards)
  For each correct team in the round of 16: 3pts
  For each correct team in the quarter-finals: 3pts
  For each correct team in the semi-finals: 4pts
  For each correct team in the final: 5pts
  For the correct UEFA EURO 2016 winner: 10pts
  For the correct UEFA EURO 2016 runner-up: 8pts
• Knockout Stage (Bonus Points)
  Correctly predict a fixture (both correct teams and the correct position in the bracket): 10pts

Leaderboard
Players can check their overall ranking in the leaderboard as soon as the group stage is completed. The leaderboard will then be updated after each match of the knockout phase.

In case of a tie break between players eligible for prizes, UEFA will hold a draw to decide the winner.
