Prasnikar announces Slovenian party

Bojan Prasnikar names his Slovenian squad for their EURO 2004™ qualifier against Malta.

Slovenian national coach Bojan Prasnikar will have to do without midfield player Nastja Ceh for their opening EURO 2004™ qualifier against Malta on 7 September.

Ceh suspension
Club Brugge KV player Ceh is suspended for the game, and misses out on inclusion in the 20-man squad along with Hapoel Tel Aviv striker Milan Osterc, whom Prasnikar has not selected.

Friendly win
However, defender Aleksander Knavs and goalkeeper Marko Simeunovic are both fit after injuries and have been picked by Prasnikar, whose first game as coach ended in a 1-0 friendly win against Italy in Trieste. Zlato Zahovic is also in the squad, after renouncing his international retirement.

Slovenia squad
Dabanovic, Simeunovic, Bulajic, Cipot, Knavs, Vugdalic, Mavric, Acimovic, Filekovic, Gajser, Karic, Pavlin, Radosavljevic, Sukalo, Zahovic, Zlogar, Cimerotic, Rakovic, Siljak, Ipavec.
