Romania coach Anghel Iordanescu has named a provisional squad of 13 foreign-based players for the friendly game against Croatia in Timisoara on 20 November.
Filipescu back
Central defender Iulian Filipescu of Real Betis Balompié returns to the squad after missing the last two internationals through injury. Adrian Ilie (Deportivo Alavés) and Marius Niculae (Sporting Clube de Portugal) are also included despite not being regular starters for their clubs.
More players to be named
Iordanescu will name a further seven domestic-based players on 16 November. The Croatia fixture is Romania's last match before their crucial EURO 2004 qualifier against Denmark on 29 March 2003.
