Qualifying injury
The AC Milan defender has not played since injuring his shoulder during Denmark's 2-2 draw against neighbours Norway in their first EURO 2004™ qualifying game and has been forced to withdraw from Morten Olsen's squad for the Group 2 game against Luxembourg.
'We'll have to do without him'
"There has always been an understanding that if Thomas wasn't fit enough for Milan's league match at the weekend, then he couldn't be considered for the game against Luxembourg," said Olsen, who has elected not to call up a replacement for Helveg. "Unfortunately after speaking with him it's clear that we'll have to do without him."
