Da Luz given chance to shine

Luxembourg's 18-man squad for the friendly fixture against Israel has been announced.

Luxembourg's coach Allan Simonsen has selected an 18-man squad for the friendly fixture against Israel on 5 September.

Da Luz given a chance
The 23-year-old Claudio Da Luz will get his first chance to shine in the national squad and Simonsen and his assistant coach Jeff Saibebene will also monitor his performance for FC Avenir Beggen against Ipswich Town FC in the second leg of their UEFA Cup qualifying round tie tomorrow night.

Hoffman to stay in Moscow
Simonsen, a Dane who was appointed to the Luxembourg post in January, has allowed Eric Hoffmann to remain in Moscow for the Under-19 side's preparations for the UEFA European Under-19 Championship qualifying campaign. Otherwise there are no changes to the squad that lost 2-0 to Morocco in an international friendly last week.
