Article body
Iceland coach Atli Edvaldsson has named his squad to take on four-time FIFA World Cup winners Brazil in a friendly international on 7 March.
Five new players
Edvaldsson has named five new caps in his 18-man party, with only two overseas-based players in the squad, both from the Norwegian Tippeligaen - Rosenborg BK goalkeeper Árni Gautur Arason and Molde FK's Ólafur Stígsson.
Carnival forces date change
The changes to the squad are due to the timing of the match, outside FIFA's official dates for internationals, due to the last scheduled day clashing with the Mardi Gras carnival in Brazil. Taking on Iceland in their EURO 2004™ group are Germany, Scotland, Lithuania and Faroe Islands
