Experimental squad for Romania

Romania's squad for their friendly with Greece contains just four capped players.

Romania have confirmed their squad for the 12 May friendly with Greece, containing no foreign-based players and led by national under-21 coach Ion Moldovan.

Fifteen uncapped players
Full coach Anghel Iordanescu stepping aside for the match, giving the junior chief a chance to lead a 19-man party containing many of his current or recent under-21 charges. The only capped players included are Sorin Ghionea, Eugen Baciu, Florin Soava and Ovidiu Petre

Qualifying campaign
The Alexandropoulis match will allow players to stake their claims for a place in Romania’s EURO 2004™ qualifying campaign, in which they meet Denmark, Luxembourg, Norway and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
